Tucked away in a quiet street about 15 mins outside Taitung city center, the Mei sisters run a studio called ili workshop (一粒工作室), together they create shell ginger baskets and objects. The sisters work with shell ginger stems (月桃) that are harvested from the local mountains and weave using traditional techniques that have been carried down from generations of Amei Tribe.
