Tucked away on a quiet street about 15 minutes outside Taitung City, the Mei sisters run ili workshop (一粒工作室), where they create beautifully crafted shell ginger baskets and objects. They work with shell ginger stems (月桃) harvested from the surrounding mountains and weave each piece using traditional techniques passed down through generations of the Amis Tribe.
